This is me, MayB.

Welcome to my life.

Dog owner, domestic failure, cross stitcher, counsellor, dreamer and critic.

I will make you sit, pour you a bowl of cereal, sew your mouth shut, tell you what to do, how to do it and then that you're doing it wrong.

8x365: Percy

A degree in Poli-Sci. A history as a stock car racer. A family. A violent past. A drinking problem.

He was in his 50s when he was finally admitted to a care home for his Korsakoff's. When I knew him, he could barely walk - shuffling one small step at a time - and collected cans for spending money. With a slurred voice, he would tell stories of his youth, some real and some not.

He affected who I was as a professional - how I understood my clientele and the ways I thought the world should work. He was the first person to make me realize that some people will never succeed.
