Looking for creativity
Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 12:15AM I am having a b*tch of a time lately. I have had so many things swirling around my brain -- things I have no place for, things I have no room for, things I can't talk about, and don't want to talk about.
I hate being like this. When my brain is stuck on one topic it can't express, it won't do anything. I spent two hours the other day trying to write one piece I'd had in my mind. The words wouldn't come out of my head, they wouldn't form correctly on the page. They bungled and stuttered. I deleted numerous versions because I couldn't even fix what I had written -- I just had to start over.
I feel that in order to restart my creativity in the writing field I need to do something creative in another realm. So, I have an entire pile of things I want to create. However, my craft stuff (including my sewing machine) is in the garage -- under a pile of rubbish and clutter. The Guy would say he has an excellent cure for my clutter (a large disposal bin) but that's not what I'm looking for.
In no actual order, here are things I would like to make this week:
1) Little zip up bags with animals on them. Like this.
2) Quilts out of old blue jeans I already have cut for said quilts.
3) A camera bag that isn't ugly.
4) A snazzly Christmas card holder that isn't lame.
I want to be crafty and creative. Instead, I am lazy and completely lacking creativity. I may have to drag the sewing machine inside tomorrow.
crafty-ness,
ranting at things

Oooh!! Those bags are super easy to make. You can do it!!! Remember the awesome brown and pink one I made? I totally lost it. Which pisses me off, cause when else am I gonna use a neon pink zipper? Sad.
